About |
The undifferentiated Cutler near its provenance of the Uncompahgre uplift is dominantly comprised of arkosic conglomerate. The classic location to view this thick unit is at Fisher Towers, Utah. In the shot below the white lines mark the top of the Cutler where the cliff line snakes around irregularly. Immediately above is the Moenkopi Fm. To the southwest, the Cutler has distinct lithologies and are mapped into individual formations within the Cutler Group.
